Why it exists
Most CVs still travel as PDF attachments. On a phone they're awkward to open, they're out of date the day after you send them, and you never know if anyone read yours.
A link fixes most of that. It opens as a normal page on any phone. You can update it after you've sent it. And your dashboard shows how many times it was opened.
Who makes it
folia is built and run by Ruan Bester, a developer in Johannesburg. This is his page.
If something doesn't work, or there's something you'd like it to do, email hello@folia.work or use the chat on your dashboard. Both go straight to him.
Questions
What is folia?
folia (folia.work) turns your CV into a profile page at your own address, folia.work/yourname. Instead of attaching a PDF, you send one link.
How long does it take?
A few minutes. Choose your address, add a photo and your details, and pick a template. The page is live as soon as you finish.
Does it cost anything?
No. folia is free.
How is folia different from Linktree?
Linktree is a list of links. folia is a page about your work: your bio, experience, skills and projects, laid out like a CV.
Can recruiters find me on folia?
If you switch it on, your page appears in the directory at folia.work/explore, where people can search by name, role or city. It's off until you turn it on.
