Last updated: June 2026
Folia (“we”, “us”) helps you turn your CV into a shareable web page. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a securely-hashed password (handled by our auth provider).
- Profile content: anything you add to your folia — name, tagline, bio, links, experience, projects, skills, and a profile photo you upload.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP, browser) and a cookie used only to keep you signed in.
How we use it
To create and display your public profile, let you sign in, generate your share card, and operate and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
What's public
Your profile page (folia.work/yourname) and anything on it is public by design — that's the point of a shareable CV. You choose whether to appear in the public Explore directory via a toggle, and you decide which contact details to show.
Who we share with
We use trusted infrastructure providers to run Folia: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We don't share your data with advertisers.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data anytime on your profile, export a copy of it, and delete your account — all from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated data.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile data; backups are purged on a rolling basis.
Children
Folia isn't intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
